From the Founder: Ryan Malnar, Attorney

Ryan Malnar has spent years advocating fiercely for personal injury clients across Colorado. But away from the courtroom, you’ll find him on mountain trails with his mules — navigating steep, technical terrain that demands every quality a great attorney must also possess: intelligence, balance, patience, and an absolute refusal to quit.

Moe and the rest of Ryan’s mule string have carried him safely through conditions that would test any rider. It’s in those moments — perched on a switchback thousands of feet up, trusting an animal of uncanny intelligence and composure — that Ryan recognized something true about how he practices law.

“For me, mules aren’t just a mascot — they’re part of my daily life. I train and ride my mules in the Colorado mountains, often on steep and technical trails. These animals have carried me safely through terrain that requires intelligence, balance, and trust.”

The Mule Standard:

Four Qualities That Define How We Practice

Mules are known for qualities that mirror exactly how we approach personal injury law:

01 — Steady and Reliable Under Pressure

When cases get difficult and pressure mounts, we remain calm, focused, and in control. Like a sure-footed mule on a narrow mountain ledge, we don’t flinch when the terrain gets tough. Our clients can count on us to stay steady when it matters most.

02 — Strong and Sure-Footed, Even on the Toughest Terrain

Mules carry enormous weight across terrain that would stop other animals cold. We carry your case with that same strength — navigating complex legal ground that others might walk away from, delivering results when it counts.

03 — Smart and Cautious, Making Decisions That Avoid Unnecessary Risk

A mule refuses a dangerous path not out of fear, but out of wisdom. We bring that same discernment to your case — strategic, deliberate, and always guided by what is truly in your best interest. We don’t take unnecessary risks with your future.

04 — Stubborn in the Best Way: Once Committed, We Do Not Back Down

Stubbornness isn’t a flaw — it’s a feature. Once we commit to your case, we do not back down. Not for insurance companies, not for opposing counsel, not for anyone. That is the promise behind our name, and we deliver on it every single day.

Same Team. Stronger Commitment.

This update reflects how we’ve grown—but it doesn’t change what matters most: how we serve you.

  • Same trusted team
You’re working with the same attorneys and staff who know your case and are committed to your success.
  • No disruption to your case
Your case, representation, and communication remain exactly the same.
  • Updated contact details
You may begin to see our new email addresses and domain. Messages sent to our previous addresses will still reach us.
  • A stronger, clearer brand
This change helps us better represent who we are today and how we serve our clients moving forward.

Nothing changes in how we take care of you—only how we present ourselves.

Scott Anderson

Property Damage Specialist

I started my insurance career in 1992 with a company in Alaska handling a variety of claims including auto appraisals, valuations, and total loss settlements. Alaska also allowed me to handle incredibly unique claims like the replacement costs for a salmon smoker destroyed by a bear and calculating the depreciation of a dog sled. I learned first hand the value of a properly written insurance policy, and the devasting consequences when clients did not have the proper coverage.

I moved to Colorado in 2004 and in 2007 I started my
agency, where I could ensure that my clients had the coverage that would protect them in case of fire, accidents, or other losses. After 15 years of success, I decided to sell my agency for the proverbial offer that couldn’t be refused. I understand the coverages and the language the insurance companies use and enjoy helping clients learn about insurance and navigate claims.

I am honored to work with Malnar Injury Law to assist their clients with their questions during an insurance claim to make sure they receive the best valuations for their vehicles when they are damaged.
